Beautiful Sunday at the Battle River

We headed down to the Battle River with Glenys, Ezra, Ryder, Mckenzie, Auntie Debbie and Ashlyn. It was the perfect day. Sheltered from wind, waist deep water (for the kids) and a great spot for watching the kids. They played for 3 hours and so much fun was had by all!

Ryder just drove right in!

Ms. Kenzie even had time for a nap.

Happy swimmers

Happy 7th!

Morgan whisked me away to Edmonton for our anniversary. Not only did we spend a lot of time with some great friends, but we went for a 40km bike ride which included a beautiful bike ride in the river valley.

Horse Camp part 2!

Sawyer has had quite the dose of horses this summer. Her most recent adventure was at Lisa Crockett Stables about 5 south of town. It was perfect!

Making new friends and learning lots.
I wasn't able to stay all day and watch so I didn't actually get any pictures of Sawyer on the horse. But at the end of the day they were able to paint the horses. The girls age 5-15 had so much fun!

Grahamtown Trick Riding Extravaganza

I cannot believe that I had never heard of Grahamtown! It is about 20 minutes north of town. They have a cute little town, horses and grow some amazing riders! :)

They are so freaking cute!

August long - Jones family Reunion

August long we headed up to Lac des Isles about 2 1/2 hours north of Lloydminster. We met up with most of Morgan's mom side (The Jones'). When the Jones' get together there is never a dull or quiet moment. The kids had a blast and tell everyone about their tenting weekend at Ezra and Ryder's lake :) So yes, we drove over 2500km the weekend before and were home for 2 days and then headed off to the lake again. So much driving, but so so SO worth every kilometer!

Checking out the campground

Our 'house builder'

Our sweet tent!

Playing Dominion only minutes after setting up.

These girls bonded, so sweet!

More Dominion

Nothing says camping like, tea, wine and BBQ pizza ;)

Our tent became the library over the weekend. There was always a kid close by with a book in hand near the tent.

More reading

Morning view. It was an amazing weekend

Our fivenager slept in until 10am one morning. Even with the light, noise and people peeking in on her.

Showing Cooper how to build a fire.

Yup, still fast asleep!

Our manly breakfast cooked by Morgan

Tons of visiting and games all weekend!
Loving boat life. And it was obviously too bright to get everyone looking :)

Our pro skier :) He loved every minute on the easy ski! Especially when we taught him how to go faster and make waves.

She loved it too! The only one with a ridiculous smile plastered on her face the whole time. (Minus the time she fell off and had a few moments of sheer panic.)

This cutie!

Auntie Vera making mermaids!

The kids had an amazing weekend and we cannot wait for next summer!
