Corn day!

We love our 'fresh' frozen corn! So this year I bought 2 sacks full. About 12 dozen! Yes, I'm crazy! Way too many hours later I produced 45 bags full of corn. 90 cups of sweet summer goodness!

Picnic in the Park

With Nancy, Al and Tess moving we decided to have one last hurrah in the park. It was a gorgeous day. We ended up being in the park for about 4 hours!

Running down the big hill!

Rolling down!

Spinning at the top!

Best sandbox in town!

Alaska Pt 5- Ketchikan

In Ketchikan we were able to go snorkelling! It was an amazing experience! Covered from head to toe in a 7mm wetsuit we were in for a fairly warm treat. The water was about 65 degrees F. So not warm but not frigid. I took these photos with a disposable water camera. Crazy that it works so much better above water, right?!

There is a fish in there!!

Huge starfish

White jellyfish. They were huge and could sting you! We avoided them like the plague!
Our view of Ketchikan as we were leaving port

Low tide at our snorkeling point!

Alaska Pt 4 - Juneau

Juneau was a beautiful city to see. Morgan and I along with my parents, Uncle Chuck and Aunt Marlene and their 3 girls all went white water rafting on the Mendenhall river which was fed by the magnificent Mendenhall Glacier.

A view from above.

Reading about the fishin industry

Ready to raft. A view of the Mendenhall in the distance.

Almost all our crew. Just missing Morgan, Uncle Chuck and myself

An iceberg, no big deal!

Bald Eagle! He was so regal.

It was a great ride along the river. Most of the rapids Morgan was laughing so hard he couldn't paddle, but for a good reason. Mom and Aunt Marlene were screaming so loud through the rapids, at one point Mom was practically in Aunt Marlene's lap.
