When the snow was gone,

You know, for those few days we had spring. It was so nice to get outside and run around. We even got the bikes and summer toys out!

Lamb stew

We recently purchased lamb for the freezer! There is nothing like a good lamb chop, or stew. I had never tried this recipe before. But it was amazing, easy and the kids licked their plates clean!!
Simmering on the stove! The smell was intoxicating...

Yes, there was beer in it. You couldn't taste it in the very rich and creamy stew.

Just in case you missed the first recipe link:

Paint

Yesterday I made paint. We have been out of paint for a while and this morning seemed like a painting sort of a day. The paint consisted of water, flour and dish soap. Once I mixed them all together according to the recipe I added food coloring to make the wanted colors. (The paint wasn't very good). The kids still enjoyed the dull colors, Sawyer even named a few of her paintings!

Bags and cleaning

The kids have been really into my bag drawer again lately. This joyous occasion happens multiple times a day. They have gotten really good at putting bags away once Mommy needs to work in the kitchen.

Sawyer has been really started helping, you know, in which she can actually help with the sweeping and vacuuming, etc. She loves to help me clean up. It's great, I don't even have a word that describes how I feel about this new found joy she has. Today she vacuumed the living room and dining room for me. How awesome!?!? Oh, I forgot to mention she cleans naked most days ;-)

Markers, haircuts and rugburn

Yay for days when we can color! Cooper recently discovered markers and LOVES biting the tip off. Most days he has a colorful mouth ;)

The kids went to "Miss Joan" as Sawyer likes to call her for hair cuts a couple of weeks ago.
Sawyer has already had a few hair cuts and is a pro.

This was Coops first salon haircut. He did pretty good. Sat still for about 10 minutes. Unheard of!

Coopers finished result, with rug-burnt nose as an accessory.

The Snow Storm

I know that I've posted about the storm that hit the week of March 20th, but I figured I should show you how much fun we had after Morgan was unstuck at the farm.

Climbing drifts on the road.

Enjoying being able to see over the fence!

We even went for a ride, all 4 of us!

I sat in the VERY back. The kids loved it!

Chicken time! Cooper LOVES the chickens!
