The birthday begins!

Sawyer received her first card in the mail yesterday from Great Grandma Penner! She was so excited that we had to call Grandma and thank her right away! We had another book in the series, and Sawyer had to find it so we could read them both! She's so smart!

The Zoo

We spent about 6 hours at the zoo! The kids did amazing, but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

Penguin Plunge!

The older kids on the train! They loved it!

On the Carousel!

One last stop before home (I mean the gift shop)!

The ride from Calgary to Wetaskiwin was SOO quiet!

What a great weekend! So blessed to have such great travelers and eager participants in our crazy, but amazing weekend adventure!

Calgary Weekend

So for May long weekend, Correna and her three kids and myself along with Sawyer and Cooper headed to Calgary. I received a text around midnight on Friday saying that there was room in her vehicle for the kids and I. I thought this would be super fun! Visiting with cousins and seeing friends who we hadn't seen in a while! Of course the Zoo as well. So here a just a few of the many pictures that were taken on May long.

The Circus!! Yes, we decided at 3:00 to head to the circus at 4!

The kids loved it!

Our great seats! I think that having 5 kids under 3 said it all! Front row!!

We even got in a visit with the amazing Grandma Darlene and Grandpa Mike!

The Banner

Other than hanging the banner, I finished it this past weekend!
I think that this has been the most relaxing thing I've done for Sawyer's birthday so far. Guess I better get the invites out :-)

Ironing on the interfacing. When I went to fabricland, I was told that it didn't matter which side I ironed onto the burlap. Must have been a new girl, cause I started off by ironing the interfacing onto the ironing board. Haha. So if you ever do something like this feel the interfacing for a smooth side and a rough side. The rough side has the adhesive.

I found these stencils at Walmart. They are great! I used acrylic paint and a cheap paint brush from the dollar store.

I cannot wait to see what this looks like hung up and the backyard decorated!
